We want you to feel completely confident when shopping with Out of Step Books. You should know that the products and services you are purchasing are the finest in quality available on the market today. That said, sometimes customers order the wrong item, make a mistake, or find they don’t need a product after they have purchased it. We understand, and that is why we have created a great return policy that protects all of our customers from needless expenses, abuse of our return policies, and the confidence that Out of Step Books is with you every step of the way.

All products you purchase from OOS Books website are subject to our return policy. All returnable items must be returned, unused, in original, unopened plastic wrap within 30 days from the date of purchase. Customers are responsible for shipping costs. Returned items MUST have a OOS Books -generated Return Goods Authorization (RGA) granting permission for the return. If the return is on account of a manufacturer defect, broken items, an incorrectly shipped item, the item will be evaluated when it is received back by our company. If it was an erroneous return or not the fault of OOS Books or the manufacturer, no refund will be given.
30-Day Return Policy. We strive to maintain the highest level of service to each of our customers. Accordingly, our return policy reflects the way we can best keep our prices low and our services outstanding. We will accept returns of approved items within 30 days of the original date of purchase.
Shipping Damage. If you receive a product from us that is damaged during shipment, you must refuse shipment at the time of delivery. We will assess and ship you a new product immediately. If you do not reject shipment of a damaged item, our normal return policy will take precedent and may prevent a refund. As always, check your packaging and the product before signing for any shipment.
Change Your Mind? You can cancel an order with us. Sometimes customers change their mind or determine they need a different product after they’ve ordered from us. To minimize cost to you, the faster you move, the better. After you place an order, and before it is delivered, here are your options: cancel the order BEFORE it ships and retain a full refund minus a 5% handling fee; or cancel the order AFTER it ships but before it is delivered, and receive a refund for the product minus the charges for shipping and a 5% handling fee. Once a product is delivered to you, a 25% restocking fee applies to the customer, as does the cost to ship the product back to us.
Refund Timing. Once we receive an approved item back from a customer, it will typically take 5-7 business days before a refund to be posted on your account. If we have questions we may call you to clarify.
Unauthorized Returns. Any item that is returned to us without an RMA number issued from OOS Books will be refused and returned to the sender. Please do not attempt to return an item(s) without prior approval with RMA number from OOS Books.
